The drive belt that works the alternator and power steering has gone on my 1999 A6 1.9 tdi. I'm in the process of taking off the bumper etc as per the instructions in one of your previous threads. Does anyone have a diagram showing how the belt is routed.

If you can't find a diagram, then just do the obvious: look at your routing, since it is the simplest and fastest way to find out.
It probably routes over the AC Compressor, PS Pump, Alternator, then it loops shortly over the tensioner, and then over the crank pulley.
