My wifes A6 has been running great, bought it used, lately and very speradically, the car, when she puts the key in the ignition, wont start, (not even turning over....) lights come on (bright) not dimming, buzzer (buzzing) and nothing, to me it sounds like a battery, but it is still good, after a few tries, it will kick over, like it woke up and is ready to go. Thanks for any suggestions.

 

If you still have lights, buzzer and so forth then your battery should be just fine. Instead I would believe your starter is failing or your ignition switch. Giggle the key and see if that gets it going, if not, then I think your starter solenoid is on its way out. They simply wear out over time.
