I need to get a new front bumper cover for my 1999 a6 (because I'm stupid and ripped it off).

On eBay I see a few bumpers.

These Two say they fit 98~04

98 99 00 01 02 03 04 AUDI A6 *NEW* FRONT BUMPER COVER
AUDI A6 '98-'04 !!!OEM!!! FRONT BUMPER

This one says it fits only 02~03

02-03 AUDI A6 BUMPER FRONT V6 PRIMED **ORIGINAL**

How can that be?

 

It's because there was a "facelift" for the A6 in 2002, there are slight cosmetic differences between the pre and post facelift models, most noticable is the front grill, but there are others. The pre-face lift has rounded edges on all 4 corners of the grill while the post-facelift has 2 'squared' corners of the bottom of the grill, look at pic side by side and you will see the difference. if you don't have a picture go to www.lltek.com and look up aftermarket body parts for the C5 A6 and you will see. For you, you want pre-face lift parts.
