Hi everybody...
I just purchased my first Audi - 1999 A6 Quattro
I bought this car in USA and it is being shipped to Canada.

I have few questions for you...

I assume all the displays will be in the imperial system.. (miles, gallons, Fahrenheit) and so on.
Is there an option to change all that to metric (km, liters and Celsius)?
If not, is there another way? Like maybe changing a computer chip or something?

I know there were few recalls on this model. Is there a way to find out if those were done already? If they were not done, will the Canadian dealers work on it at no charge since the car came from the states?

And one last thing...
This car has 43 000 miles on it... Is there a special service that I should do now? Is there anything coming up for me that I should consider?
As far as I know this car is in great shape and I want to keep it this way!

what engine? As for servicing, at 43k miles you shouldn't have too many problems. If you have access to maintenance records, look for the last BPV's replacement and if they have replaced the TBB with the 356T revised one. I f the BPV's are older then a year, rplace them with the 710 N from the TT model...

 

Sorry, forgot to mention it's the 2.8 engine - no turbo...

 

call audi north america to register as owner. they can check their database to see if any/all recalls were completed.
