Default 1999 a6 quattro windshield washer resevoir

i did a search and couldnt find any thing... how does it come out... im assuming i have to take the tire and the fender lining out to get to the other bolts. i have to repair mine before winter really starts to come

Your assumption is correct - it comes out through the wheel well. It's a real pain in the neck, which is why I have put off fixing mine, as well.

yeah i did mine today and it turned out to not even be the resevoir... its one of the "pumps" i guess is what they are that are mounted into the resevoir is cracked.. i put sum epoxy on son it to close up the crack but its still leaks it slowed down but is still leaking. i should have taken pictures but i forgot my camera when i get back under there to try and fix it again i will take pix
also sorry about the post before this i dunno wat happend

well, here is the same problem I got leek as hell. I know, i have to go thru left wheel but i never done it before. Is it hard and long "operation" ?

You have to jack up the left front of the car, remove the left front wheel, remove the front half of the wheel well inner liner, fold it back out of the way, remove three bolts from below and one from inside the engine compartment, then wiggle the reservoir out while removing the pumps. Then you have to carefully examine the reservoir to figure out which pump (or the level sensor) is leaking (follow the blue...), then figure out if it is the seal or the pump. It seems the pump tends to crack causing the leak.

Or, you can just fill it the the sensor, let a little leak out everytime, and carry a spare gallon of fluid eith you.
