Hi, new to this so here goes!
I have a 1999 Audi A6 1.8t and unfortunately it has been sat for somewhere between a year and two years. It has ran a few times during this period but for some reason the battery drains completely. We tried a new battery and it has done it again. When we put the battery in, the stock stereo system displayed on its screen the word "telefon", now I looked this up and read somewhere that this could be what was draining the battery so I removed the fuse in the hopes this would work but no luck. Now I don't think it is the alternator because it started fine for a few days and then nothing. Also when we have charged up the battery and put it back in the car and connected it the alarm sound won't go off and the car won't turn over! If any of you have any thoughts I would be incredibly grateful!
