2.7 A-6 turbos need replacing

My 2000 A-6 2.7 needs both turbos replaced and I am guessing this means the end of this car.
I'm told it costs about $5k and the engine needs to come out.
The mileage is 196,000 and we have owned the car since it was new and there isn't one bit of rust anywhere.
Just replaced all new rotors, brakes, tires, front and rear suspension with stock Audi components. Interior is perfect and A/C is cold.
Any suggestions for options other than selling it to a junk yard for a parts car.
I loved this car and I think it is better than my wife's new A-6 but them I am partial to the old one.
What would engine replacement cost and is that a viable option?
Thank you in advance
Kurt

1) is the car worth it to you?
2) are you financial able to float 5-8k in repairs for the next 5 years to drive it another 50,000 miles or more?

If so, then yes, replace the turbo's

I agree. I had 236k on my 2003 and the turbos had a slight leak but it was the lower door rust, doors failing to close properly, failed AC, and failing power steering that drove me to a new(er) car. If it was not due to the first two I would have no problem dumping $5k into new turbos. It would have been cheaper than the $18k I spent for the used A4. And that 2.7T was fast.
