2.7t ABP engine torque for Rod bolts
 

I am currently rebuilding my A6 2.7t. I am using stock components, re-ringing the pistons, rebuild turbos and heads. Not seeking power, she's my daily driver and I love this car!

I had purchased the FEBI connecting rod bolts for 16 bucks for the set. After thinking about the rebuilding process, I decided to eat the 16 bucks and spend the extra money for OEM rod bolts.

That being said, my Bentley does not have anything on spec's for torque on the connecting rods. I've found some info on other sites that it should be 26ft/lbs and another source says 30nm (22ft/lbs). Does anyone here have any info on the torque sequence and ft/lbs needed to torque the rod bolts?

Just in case anyone needs this info and uses the search button;

I found that stock OEM bolts take 26 ft lbs and ARP suggest 28 on theirs. Most go with 38-32 ft lbs. I did a typical bolt stretch method x 3 using molly grease each time with increasing torque from 15 ft/bls, 20, 25 on round 1, 20, 25, 30, round 2, and 20, 25, 30, and 32 on the third go round. I heard of a few who went with 26 ft/lbs and had a knock, then increased to 28 with no problems.
