Default 2.7T Cold start issues/replaced Aux. Coolant Pump

Recently replaced the auxillary coolant pump on my '02 2.7T. Now when I start it up when cold it takes about 3 trys to fire like it's starved for fuel. Then it seems to run fine after that and as long as I don't let it sit for awhile it starts fine. I did use the old intake manifold gaskets. Could that be my problem that maybe it's sucking air? They seemed in fine shape. I also disconected the fuel pressure sensor at right rear of intake. Could it have gone bad. Or is there some other switch or sensor that may have gone bad. Don't see that it has a cold start up thermo switch, or does it?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Kurt

Any thoughts on this? I've read some past posts and saw a couple items that it might be. Purge Control Valve N80 or low pressure fuel pump. I'm still thinking maybe fuel pressure sensor. If any of these go bad does it throw a code. Don't have an OBDII but thinking of getting one.

Thanks!

Kurt
