Default 2.7t Oil Questions.

2000 A6 2.7t. with ~90k miles.

Ive tried searching and cant find the info.
Does this year A6 have issues with smaller oil lines to the turbos? Is it something that needs immediate attention? Is there an upgrade for oil delivery to the turbos available?
Also, Is there a certain oil that would be better suited for the size of lines present? I bought Mobil1 0w-40, is that a suitable synthetic oil for the turbos?
thanks.

Good synthetic oil is all you need. Mobil 1 0w-40 will be fine. I like RP or Amsoil but also use Mobil 1.

I would suspect replacing the oil supply lines would not be an easy job!

I just changed my oil with RP 10W 30 and the difference is amazing, turbo spool up is quicker and the engine oil temp is about 35deg cooler. I was using mobil 1 and I am glad I switched.

Just make sure you let the oil warm up before hammering it, and give it a short cool down drive after aggressive use. I swear by Mobil1 0W-40 or 0W-30: used by the original owner for the first 37k and I've used it and running fine at 153k. Change it every 6-8k.
