2.7T - Oil Temperature - what's normal?

Since I recently had my timing belt replaced, it seems my oil temperature is a little higher than "pre-belt". Maybe it's just my memory, as my wife often points out.

When I drive low speed and around town, it runs just under the 225o mark. Running high speed on the highway, it's just over the 225o mark. Is this normal?

My water temperature gauge just sits on the center line no matter what after the car warms up.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

There is no such thing as a stupid question. That seems to be right on the money, depending on how hot is outside if your under 250 don't worry about it.

As the above poster said, there are no stupid questions. Stupid answers, however....

2001 2.7T.....runs a tick under 225 on the highways when it's about 80 degrees out. Sits right at 225 when it's 90+ out and I'm going 70mph. Sounds like you're right in the ballpark.
