2.7t timing belt, cam moved
 
pulled the cam locking too off and the passenger side cam moved... uhhhhh now what?

Just put it back. :D Use the lock bar if need be. That side always moves almost.

It's just valve spring pressure. Scared you didn't it? :p

Nearly cried as I have several times during this. Got it all back together last night thought I was done. Added coolant and it started pouring out from behind the t-belt cover. Looks like I installed something wrong.

I’m not really a slouch as a mechanic but this by FAR has not been a money saving venture when lost time come into play. Think I’m 40+ hours in at this point and still have to take it all back apart and put it all back together.

Water pump gasket got a kink in it. IIRC it is a paper gasket and does not require any gasket goop. Plus there may be hidden bolt that got left out. Good luck and just think it can only get better from here. :D

I had put the t stat oring in the wrong spot, it SHOULD be block tstat oring, i had placed it block oring tstat.

hope that helps someone out there.

what took me about 30 hours the first time only took about 5 the the second time.

Gee, the 'O' ring on the wrong side? Never done that.:rolleyes::rolleyes: Don't you hate when that happens? :p
