2000 A6 2.7T 6spd...should I keep it? (I want to!!)
Its been a looong time since I last posted here, so I'm back at noob level, I guess!
Here's my issue:
- My car needs Exhaust Gas Temp Sensors: it developed that hesitance in the low RPMS of each gear.
All pricing looks to be about $1K to get it done. I have 137K miles on the car, have had it since 2006 with the last 4 years using it as a train station car (10 miles each way).
I've been out of work for the last 4 months and since I've got the car, I've been laid off 4 times with some long period of being out of work; so much so that it decimated my savings.
Am I better off to let it go?
This was to be my build out, after Audi USA buying it for me (bought a '98 2.8 high mileage fleet car that caught on fire AFTER having the recall work & Audi USA came and gave me $5K more than I bought it for, so I could afford the 2.7T with a stick ).
But kids/mortgage/unemployment.....you know, *violins*

Dude, I love Audis. But given your work situation, unload it for something less risky and less expensive to repair. These puppies can run for ever (just sold my 2003 2.7T with 240k miles), but I did a lot of maintenance over the years.
