2000 A6 2.8 timing belt tools
 

I'm doing a complete timing belt replacement on our 2000 A6 with the 2.8l dohc engine. I'm looking to borrow or rent the cam alignment tools from someone please help me out here I'm located in Michigan. Thank you Thank you Thank you..... Joe

In case you didn't know, you can rent tools from Blauparts.

I would just go with Blauparts if it's a one and done task. I've had mixed luck with some of their stuff, but the vast majority of people on these forums speak highly of them. I'd give them a shot.

It'll save you a trip to Auto Zone or somewhere else, but you may have to wait several days to get starts. Funny story, I opted to order online from Harbor Freight thinking it'll arrive in about 3 or 4 days. Nope. Try a week and a half. Next time I'll drive the 25 minutes one way and get what I need.

I see I can order the tools but again if anyone in the Michigan area wants to help me out let me know. Thank you Joe
