2000 A6 4.2 ABS Control Module
Hi, after getting the ABS + flashing "brake" light and searching the posts, it looked like my issue is the ABS Control Module. Lots of recommendations for ModuleMaster - checked them out, read the directions, watched the video. Felt good about doing it.
So here's the problem - according to the directions/video, I should be able to loosen and drop the windshield washer tank. I can loosen it just fine, but there's no way to drop it - right underneath the tank there are three blue spheres (what the heck are they?) blocking the way. No way to get the tank out. I'm guessing this is something unique to the 4.2?
Has anyone run into this? Or I may be able to get the module off with the tank in place (it's going to be close!). With the wheelwell liner out, I can get to the screws underneath the unit so I should be able to loosen the unit, just don't know if I can cut the corner.
This would be so easy if I could get the darn tank out.......
Any advice?
Thanks!

I had the same problem and had my mechanic do the job for me. I was tired of paying crazy labor so I invested in the Repair Manual the dealer uses. I can look into how to remove the ABS Module. Send me your email address and I will try to send it to you.
