2000 A6 Avant... what to look for?
Hello all. I've got a chance to snag an A6 Avant Quattro 2.8 for what I think is pretty cheap (asking 3K, can probably get if for less). It's an automatic transmission car with 175K miles. Looks good inside and out, but I'm Audi-ignorant... what are the "problem areas" to look for on these cars? Thanks for any help.

there is no such thing as a cheap Audi
I have an 01 Avant that is absolutely stunning, and we love the car, however I paid more than $3k. (about 11 months ago)
You will be happy with the car, but at that price and mileage it may: have previous damage history have paint in poor condition have worn interior need timing belt service done yesterday need shocks need control arms, tie rods, and related bushings need trans serviced need all 3 differentials serviced etc Not really a "deal" at $3k now is it |
