Its not intercooled? Wtf? How should I check to make sure the turbos aren't fried.

 

Yes it is. No they aren't.

 

Those holes to the left and to the right of your fog lights are where your intercoolers are. If you don't have them, I'm guessing you don't have a 2.7T.

A simple, yet not a fool proof method, to determine whether or not your turbos are spooling up is to simply hit the gas while in an alley and listen for a whistle. If you hear it, they are more than likely spooling up. If you don't, then you've either got some tough 2.7T decisions to make, or possibly don't have a 2.7T. Do a quick Google image search for what the 2.7T looks like and see if your engine bay looks the same. It is a fairly unique setup and it will be pretty obvious right off the bat.

 

I didn't even notice. I'll get under there and check today. I've never had a turbo charged car before thanks.
