2002 a6 3.0 avant problems. Any tips?
Hello, I just bought my audi from a dealer with a rebuilt title. The first issue I had to take care of was the tires because the idiot who owned it before me had 20" rims on there which made it wobble and shake past 45 mph. SO now that I finally got my 18's I took it into the dealership to get my oil changed and an inspection (I should have done this before I bought it)
The diagnosis came back as: Rear diff leaking Both motor mounts leaking System too lean misfires in all cylinders evap leak torque converter lock up failure trans input to output sensor improper range performance bank one sensor one oxygen sensor Im not exactly sure where to start on fixing all these issues, the dealer knows a good audi mechanic and im hoping he will pay for most of the repairs. What should I have the mechanic check first besides the hoses and valves? thanks for your time -Jeff |
Get the O2 sensor fixed, then go to the misfires ,then the lean condition, then torque converter, then the leaks. Better check on whos paying because this repair bill could approach a healthy percentage of what you paid for the car. The converter is about a $2500 job.
