I have 2 issues. The first is that I have owned my A6 for almost 6 wks. And in that time I've had the oil light come on twice and have had to oil. I have seen no leaks and no dark colored exhaust. What's the deal?

2nd problem I have a whinning noise coming from the engine compartment when I start it up and it only lasts for a few minutes. Is it something I need to worry about.

#1- well could be a whole bunch of things. the oil has to be going somewhere. if you still have the belly pan on, it may be that when the oil leaks out it lands on the belly pan, not on the ground so you aren't noticing it. do you have a burning oil smell/light smoke under the hood when the engine is warmed up? Valve cover gaskets are a usual suspect in this case. see if you can narrow it down a bit for us and we can make better guesses.
