I have a 2002 A6 2.7T which I'm rebuilding and I bought a 4.2L V8 bumper cover and it won't fit. I thought they are the same but the bottom of the cover from the V8 is longer than the V6. So if anyone is rebuilding an A6, just know that the V8 and V6 bumpers are just a tad different. You can make it work but it'd require some cutting and molding.
So yep, the 2.7T V6 body style is almost exactly the same as the 4.2L V8, but the bumpers are not compatible.

Does anyone have any other parts that they know of that won't fit? or will fit.
Like will a V8 headlight plug and play on a V6?
