Default 2003 A6 front subframe A-arm mount holes - which to use?

I had an engine out of my 2003 2.7t A6 and the subframe had spots if rust. I thought this would be a good time to apply POR15 black paint. I stripped old paint and applied nice shiny 2 coats of POR15 super paint.
Now the engine is in and I am installing lower control arms and see I have two sets of holes in the subframe to mount the A arms. One set more to the outside and one more to the inside. Since subframe is nicely painted I have no marks which set was used. I looked at my other audi (allroad also 2003) and it has only one set of mounting holes. I looked into my bentley online manual and I see two sets of holes but it is not clear which ones to use.
Can somebody with the C5 A6 look at your A arms and tell me which holes in front and in back arm is used? Inside or outside. I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance
-Peter

The proper set of holes will be reinforced on the inside, IIRC.
