Default 2004 A6 2.7T w/tiptronic transmission issue

Hi all,

Just bought a 2004 Audi A6 2.7T, tiptronic, 60,000kms, Audi Certified. Its my first 2 days driving it and I have had an issue with my Transmission. What happens is when starting from a cold start and I initially shift to reverse or drive, there is a good 2-3 secondish delay before the transmission actually kicks into drive/reverse. Place in drive, wait 3 seconds, then its good. If I step on the gas before that, it revves like its in neutral. Once I start driving the transmission performs perfectly. Its very cold right now (-20 degrees celcius) and I'm thinking that could be it as it was outside before starting. When I do the same in my heated underground parking garage, the selected mode kicks in immediatly upon moving the lever into drive/reverse. Only happens when its cold it seems.

Is this normal? Anyone else experience this? Thanks for any advice in advance guys!
