2005 Audi A6: How to replace break pads
Does anyone have pictorial instructions on how to replace break pads on a 2005 Audi A6 3.2 L?
Appreciated |
do a search on this forum as see what turns up
Also try Audizine and Audi world BTW it would help if you spelled brake correctly becuase you might get a lesson in how to break your Audi instead of how to fix it. |
Isn't VAG software required to release the electronic parking brake to swap out the rear pads?

NH_USA - LOL - thanks.. my bad. I will do a quick search
UberTeile - don't believe you need software to release the parking brake. Just dont engage it when you put the car in park. |

You need a vagcom to replace the rear brakes in a C6.

Damit Stop Making blanket statements Not All A6's require VagCom to release the rear brakes... It all depends upon the year. I have replaced the rear brakes on numerous Audi without needing VagCom All your doing is confusing the poor guy and people that drop into the forum..You have to be more specific.

So it sounds like I can not change the rear brakes on my audi? I do have a 2005 model year A6 - which I believe your referring to as a C6.
Sigh - guess I have to pony up the money and take it in. I will do the front brakes and hand Audi the hawk pads I just purchased online so they can slap them in. |
