I only bought this car the other day, my older A6 was just past it, too many problems, but it looks like I have bought a load more

Main issue is the fuel gauge, the yellow light was on when I bought it, so popped up and put £20 in it, gauge went up to just over 1/4 full, parked up, went out yesterday morning at silly o clock, jumped in, fired it up and the fuel gauge is showing in the red section, yellow light is on and it's telling to get fuel, GRR.

So my learned new friends, what is the first thing to look at, I'm not the fittest (fattest) chap around so nothing too strenuous. I have tried both my OBD2 readers and they gave me zilch, I went to my local Audi place and they wanted £72 + VAT just to plug it in, I'm on a Gov pension so way out of my reach.
