Default 2007 A6 S-line Questions

Got a '07 A6 S-line a couple weeks ago. 35,000 miles. A couple questions.

The brakes seem incredibly sensitive - is this "normal" for A6's? They slow me down really well but at slow speeds (<5-10mph), it seems you can't be light enough without over-doing it.

I get some light wispy white smoke from the exhaust. It isn't always there but at idle seems to be most frequent. Have seen it warm and cold weather.

Fuel additives - any opinions on the need for any fuel additives on occasion? Does Audi recommend anything or to stay awy from it?

GREAT vehicle overall - Just want to make sure that I'm staying on top of things.

Thanks for any comments.

John

Not the same engine, but my 2.7T sometimes puts out a little whitish smoke during the first few miles. I chalked it up to condensation burning off. I stay away from additives other than adding a container of fuel injector cleaner every couple months, especially before a highway trip. I used Walmart stuff but some forum members recommend Seafoam.

The 3.2 has a significant carbon build up problem that may be causing the smoke. I know that there is a TSB on the issue regarding a fuel additive. In addition, if you take a look at AW's forum you will see several owners where the problem has become so problematic that they have had a portion of the engine taken apart and manually cleaned. Personally I would start with BG44K in the tank and drive it real hard to see if you can blow it out.

All FSI engines suffer from carbon buildup due to the nature of design.
No effective remedy so far.
Audi issued multiple TSB in that regard.
