2008 A6 Avant MMI screen trim removal
New to the forum and hope this is in the right spot. My question is are there any instructions or guide to the removal of the silver trim that goes around the MMI screen on the main console. I think it pulls straight out but i would rather avoid breaking anything.
The reason for this is that my mom managed to remove the anti-glare coating on a fair portion of the screen with sunscreen (she knows its not a touchscreen but it was apparently dusty), and I would like to apply a new AG film from photodon over it after removing the rest of the existing glare coating. Im pretty sure that enough of the edge of the lcd would be hidden by the trim, so you wouldn't see the edge of the film.
Any thoughts? I've searched on a variety of forums and the web in general and only found instructions for the older models. Any help would be appreciated.
