2010 A6 2.0Turbo

Hi there,

I just bought a brand new Audi A6 2.0T 2010 model. Driven 2000 kms so far.
While driving on highway, I have noticed that this car vibrates at speeds over 130km/h. The vibration is not continous but it comes in cycles.........vibrates from tome to time for a few seconds then become smooth.

The car is otherwise very comfortable and nice in hadling while driving in town at a lower speed.

Any ideas?? will apprecialte a lot!

Thanks

Kashif

"Brand new" or new to you (you being the second owner)?
2000 km total on the clock or is just what you have driven since you bought it?
For a brand new car that's very unbecoming.
In any event, what sort of vibration is it? Do you feel it through the steering wheel only? Is the whole cabin vibrating?

Thanks for the response! I bought it brand new from Audi showroom.

The vibration is felt mainly on the steering wheels and I can see my hands vibrating while holding the steering. I saw the front passenger seat vibrating as well, so its probably the whole cabin. Its not continous but appears frequently for a few seconds.

Is it ok to drive at high speed until the first service is done?

Is got to be something loose to the tune of a tie rod end, lug nuts/bolts (! - it happens), out of round tire/s, etc.
You should take it to the dealership to have it inspected. Unless I would know exactly what the vibration source is, I would not drive it at high speed. The inspection should be free of charge, anyway.
