2015 A6 Advice
Hello,
I have a 2015 Audi A6, Prestige trim. I bought the car new in August of 2014. I love how the car drives, but problems have arose and I need some advice from others who have more experience with this model than me. This is my first Audi. First there is an oil consumption problem that I have had for many years now, and the number of miles where I have to add oil is decreasing. Right now, I have to add a quart of oil every 1000-1500 miles. When the car only had 20000 miles or so, I would only have to add a quart once between services. A few weeks ago, there was a coolant leak that became evident by a message telling me to check the coolant level. When I took the car in for the 115k service, a faulty water pump was found that need to be replaced, as well as a bad valve cover gasket, as well as the right rear shock needing replacement. According to Audi, that is around $5000 worth of repairs. I am not sure if it makes sense to do these repairs at this point or just trade in the car to see what I can get. I don’t think the oil consumption problem is going to be fixed. What other potential major problems can go wrong with this car if similar mileage? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
