3.0 Oil level sensor/light on...seafoam?

The oil level senor came on in my 3.0
I cleaned up the terminals, but no luck

Has anyone had the light turn off after a seafoam on a 3.0
these aren't known to have a sludge issue but all audi's sludge
just wondering if seafoam might clean it up and if anyone has had this experience.

otherwise I'll order the part and seafoam it anyway, just hate replacing parts for no reason.

Not trying to ask a dumb question, but you did check your oil levels on a flat surface?

check to see if your hood switch is ok - way to check is see if it tells you in cluster that hood is open

Why?

is it tied into the low oil circuit?

No, I checked it on the dipstick :)
I think it's probably a bad sending unit, but there is a chance it has some goo on it. I guess for 80bucks I just replace the thing with my next oil change. But you know how it is....save money where you can. This car is certainly not a cheap date. When she wants attention my wallet cries.
