Default 3.0 quattro snub mount

My bushing is literally falling apart, so I ordered a replacement from ECS. No instructions come w/ it and I don't have a Bentley yet, but figured it should be an easy swap - did one on my GTI - how hard could it be?

Well, I slide under the car and then realize how little room there really is in there. I can't get an allen wrench on the 3 bolts that are on the block. I can get a ratcheting wrench on the 4 frame bolts, but from the looks of it, if I take those off, I won't be able to remove that piece anyway. How the hell do I do this?

Sorry to tell you this.

A) You should really get the foamy one not the hard rubber one. because of the vibration. I heard the hard rubber makes it vibrate more, but have not experienced that for myself.

B) You need to put the front end up on stands, remove the front bumper cover and pull everything out. Sounds hard but only takes 20Min at most.

C) Then loosen the bolts slide in the bushing and reinstall the bumper etc. Start the car and wait till it kicks down then tighten the three bolts and reinstall the belly pan.

Did you do the T-Belt yet?

No, haven't done TB yet. I'm debating it at the moment. I have a Z28 convertible that is my toy, but have now decided to sell it. So, I really want my Audi to play both roles. Debating whether or not it's worth it to try and sell it and get a 2.7 w/ 6spd though. I love the idea and had a 1.8t GTI that was a blast, but the removal of the motor to replace turbos that may / may not go at 100k worries me a little.

Anyway, this really sucks that I have to pull the bumper for this stupid bushing. Guess I'll set it aside for now.

You have to pull the bumper, then move the lock carrier forwards a couple inches to change out the snub mount.

If I were you I would dump that POS 3.0 and get the 2.7t before you put any more money into it.
