4.2L Question...Surely asked before!
I'm sure this quesiton was asked before and people will probably get pissed, but i'm gonna ask it anyway. Other than BostonDriver's RS6 exhaust, has anyone had another performance muffler that was installed on their 4.2 that gave the same rumble?

RE: 4.2L Question...Surely asked before!
I'm not pissed. I did a tiny bit of research, however, and I concluded that the RS6 was the right choice for me. I heard one car up close (when I picked up my car in Chicago last January) and decided that I was going to pursue the OEM RS6 option.
I think Milltek and APR make cat-back systems, and there are a myriad of choices with aftermarket mufflers and tips. However, just be warned that the A6 recesses for the mufflers are not that deep, and if you go with another aftermarket option, you might end up with mufflers that hang down lower and show up, even from the side view. Not the best look IMHO.
Best thing you can do is to take your time, research your options (check out other forums as well including audizine and audiworld), and find a local or somewhat local owner to meet up with you so you can hear it first hand. Nothing wosrse than buying something, only to find out right after it is installed that it was not what you wanted.
