Have 2000 A6 Avant, 2.8. Has 61000 miles, little trouble so far. Checked manual re: 60K maintenance, and all it seems to suggest is basic stuff: oil change, air filter, cabin air filter, plugs, rotate wheels, etc. Is there something important that should be done and that I am missing?

 

I'm going in for my 60,000 in a couple weeks and it's not too much that they do. A lot more "checking" than replacing. They do the oil, rotate the tires, top off all the fluids, etc. Nothing big. It costs 280.00 though which is kind of a rip off. I didn't find too much of a difference between the maintenance than the normal oil change except the price. I'm just doing it to be safe and to get a kick out of what they say is wrong with it. LOL.

 

its that 280.00 including the spark plugs?

 

Nope. The guy told me that they don't do the spark plugs with the 60,000. They do it at the 80,000. I think I need spark plugs though. I'm sure they will let me know if I need them...
