99 a6 avant quattro abs&brake lights

please help!!!!
hi, i have a 99 audi a6 quattro avant wagon. it has brand new pads and rotors and pad sensors front and back. it has a constant abs light, and a flashing brake light i cannot figure out for the life of me? i think i have checked about everything, i have a genysis otc scanner with european software, but its not telling me anything.. everyone told me it was the abs module under hood by washer fluid tank, so i sent it to BBA reman in mass. and they said it was bad and rebuilt it and sent it back, i installed it and the dam lights are still on??? can anyone please give me some suggstions, i am a mechanic and had 2 other mechanics look at it we are stumped please call or respond 315-656-9782

There is a switch/sensor behind your brake pedal that can malfunction and cause the ABS indicator to display. However, I would suspect the codes would help you narrow it down to that point.

What codes are you getting? If you search the forums for your specific codes you should find some ideas.

This happened to my car- I replacedboth"Switches/Sensors" near the brakes with no luck.thenreplaced the Brake Module- officially the"Electronic Brake Control Module" see attached link for loaction and DIY replacement- I got mine back in one week and works great!

I'm with toolagit2qwit above. I had the same indicationsand I did the same thing they did, followed the Module Masterinstructions on the website to pull it, and sent it to Module Masters. 1 week, $237 and 3 hours of my time later (pull and reinstall) the module is back on the car (98 Audi A6 Quattro 2.8)and the ABS system is working perfectly. Apparently not all electronic repair operations/businesses are equal.
