99 A6 Electrical Problems

So I got out of my car to help my mother with the groceries, I go back in the car and the dashboard display shows that all my doors are open, I try to close my sunroof and it refused to close, Interior lights: not working. I get out of the car and check the alarm and that didn't work either. I just dropped it off at the mechanic. Anyone ever heard of such a problem???

Was the engine running when this happened or did it happen after restarting the car? I've noticed that sometimes these cars ,including BMW, will have electircal glitches from time to time where everything or one system in particular will go haywire. I would just wait a bit and turn the ignition back on and most of the time everything is back to normal.

99 A6 Electrical Problems

I just spoke with my mechanic and he said that He changed the fuses on the sunroof, alarm etc and 3 minutes later, the fuses popped. He says it's a very time consuming issue to igure out this problem. Whch also means very expensive I imagine.

Hmm, that's strange. I wonder what's causing the fuses to blow.
