Hey guys i was just wondering how much oil do you guys usually put in a 99 A6. Im 17 so im starting the DIY stuff in my auto class. ive put 5 qts in already but the dipstick is still saying to add more?.... should I? Thanks in Advance!

 

Should be 6.3 quarts not including the capacity of the oil filter. So about 6.8 quarts.

yeah it takes more than my chevy tahoe... only 5 quarts on that one and another 1.8 no this one..

 

Yeah it reallys funny cause im like just getting into the DIY stuff as i said in my earlier post. But when i took my car into auto class to put it on the lift and i took out the new Oil filter my auto teacher was like woah u sure like to give love to ur car. Cause i bought this Mobile 1 extra performance. And when i compared what OF was on the car already to my new one the new one had to be 2x bigger lol

 

dang 6.8 quarts?!?!?!?!? I thought that when I got rid of my Cadillac w/northstar engine I would at least save on gas and oil!!!!

well at leastgas is better
