99 Avant power drain
Whats up everyone I just rescued a 99 Avant from an old ladys yard after it had been sitting for a while. I know it needs an alternator but when i put a new battery in the car it tests 11 volts by the next day so i guessed that was typical from just starting and driving it a few times. Charged the batt back and placed it in the car, was down to 9 V the next day and no interior light/dash nothing car wounld'nt turn over at all. Charged it back and everything is normal. Removed the batt for now. The car had ALOT of moisture inside and everylight on the dash is on. All fuses look good but have some white residue on them. After multiple Scirocco's, GTi's, Rabbits and a Corrado this is my first Audi so thanks for any help! I'm gonna need it.

Do you have access to a light probe? If so, while car isnt' running, but battery is hooked up, pull fuses from the interior panel and use the light probe to see if there is any power to the fuses you are pulling. Make note of which ones are drawing power.
Just a heads up I noticed that there is Haynes Manual available for our A6 year of car, but it is under the A4/VW. Take a look.
