a6 2.7t 6spd cuts out at 4k o2 sensor?
Hey guys I just bought an a6 2.7t 6spd, I have had an a6 and an a4 before but never a turbo car so im a little new to this.Well any way I bought the car yesterday and im having a problem with it, when I get on it it cuts out around 4k rpms it feels like a fuel cut but then it sputters and trys and then cuts again. Its weird no check engein light but I hooked up a scanner and it gives me the p1131 code which after doing some research I found is an o2 sensor would that be causing this or something else any help would be greatly apreciated thanks in advace.

The O2 sensor is out of the loop during acceleration, so that's not the problem. Often this error will come on when something else goes wrong. I would try a fresh tank of quality premium gas, first, as old regular gas could cause this.
Good luck,
Bob

hey man, ive owned two TTs and had the same problem. it only sputters and cuts out when the MAF is plugged in correct..? with it unplugged it wont sputter bc it is running on default maps... try that. and if that is the case i would start looking for an air leak.. might not be a hose..(my $1500apr intercooler was cracked down the side) which in the long run burnt up my turbo and caused that to cease up due to the wrong A/F ratios and hard running. i am now in the process of trying to find a new turbo for my car.. so stop driving it and find the culprit before it really costs you some money. find someone who can do a boost leak check or something.. if not, take some time and learn you car..rip the bumper off..take hoses off..just gotta look at it!!!

********update********
So I replaced the o2 sensor, that was the only code it was throwing o2 sensor (bank 2 sensor 2) after repacing it it did the same thing (cutting out at 3-4k rpms ) I was told to unplug the mass air flow sensor and it would put it to default maps. When I did so the problem went away but you can tell its in a safe mode ie low bost runs like a dog. So my mechanic says to replace the mass air flow sensor, I do and still the same thing. Any ideas I feel like im just gussing in the dark at this point

TBB=throttle body boot. It is the rubber connector that connects the y-pipe (upside down y looking thing on the top of your engine) to the bi-pipe (two black pipes that come down both sides on the front of the engine to the intercoolers).
DVs=diverter valves. little cylinder looking things connected to each other in front of the TBB. Connected into the bi-pipes. These are your boost recirculation valves (what Audis use instead of a blowoff valve to dump excess boost).
