Default a6 2.7t issues

I just bought a 00 2.7t a6 and have a few questions.

Cluster is scrambled is this an expensive fix?

Trans. is making a whining noise and there is a cel code for service transmission.

Lower ball joint is knocking and i just bought a new one is this a easy fix?

thanks

For the cluster these people will re condition the cluster for about $350 but you have to remove it:

Trannies are expensive to fix. Have it checked right away. Torque Converter seems to be the common failure.

Ball joints can be easy (lower rear) or hard (any of the other three). You should plan on replacing the whole set while you are at it. Also, check your CV joint boots. If they show any signs of cracking, do them whille you are in there. Otherwise, you will have to go in there again soon.

And, while you have it this far apart, put in new wheel bearings.
