A6 2.7T questions
Hey guys,
Although I am still set on buying a 2001-2002 A6 4.2 Sport, the 2.7T does seem to have much better acceleration. Does anyone know wheteher there was a sport package offered for the 2000-2002 2.7T (i.e. handling package and sport seats)?

RE: A6 2.7T questions
Yup. And if you can get it, you want it. I have it on my 2001 2.7T and love it. Here are the specs on it: Body lowered 20mm; spring rate 30% stiffer; shock absorber 40% more compression damping; increased diameter rear stabilizer bar.
And yes, the 2.7T does offer better stock performance -- particularly if you get a six-speed manual. 0-60 figures are as follows:
- 4.2 tip: 6.7 sec
- 4.2 MT: Not available
- 2.7T tip: 6.6 sec
- 2.7T MT: 6.0 sec
The 4.2 does pull slightly ahead of the 2.7T tip in the quarter mile (15.0 vs. 15.1). The 2.7T MT does the 1/4 in 14.7.
