A6 2.7T starts/revs, but won't move forwards or backwards
Took my A6 2.7T to my mechanic yesterday who showed me torn CV boots. I had told him that there was lots of clicking and he said I should replace both front axles. He took the axles off the car before I ok'd the job. I wanted to purchase my own EMPI axles and have him install them. He then put my old axles back on -- yes, we had a major disagreement. Turned my car on this morning, drove down my driveway and then the car wouldn't move -- motor still running, but car wouldn't move! What's up? Thanks for any feedback. Cheers!

broken axle. I have the same thing with my car right now. He probably put them back on incorrectly which led to them being broken. He is trying to screw you. A torn cv boot does not mean new axles, it means new cv boots, which are under 100$ both sides.
