I did my first oil change ,i did use castrol 5w 40 syntetich oil,it was easy (take off the belly pan is just time consuming).i use 6.5 quarters.
So thanks guys for all threads.
I had a6,2006 ,58.000 miles,now i will start reading about t.b change ,looks tough but we will see.

I wish you'd posted a few pic's..the filter on the 3.2 is on top and it looks like I'll need to remove the WS washer reservoir to access it. BTW..the 3.2 FSI from what I've read does not need a timing belt change assuming that's what you have?

 

i just took off the plastic cover on top and let the oil drain,them grap the oil filter and take it off ,it is simple .
So i dont need a t.b.changed it is a chain?,i will look at the repair manual 2morrow i just got it last week from robert bentley.
