Hello all, Please advise on this issue. The service advisor at my local dealer is informing me that I need to replace engine mounts on my Audi A6 (Year 2015 / 40k miles) . Is this quite common to replace engine mounts this early? They are quoting me $1300 for this work :-( Just my luck that the warranty expired this Feb!! Looking forward to hearing your comments on this issue. Thanks in advance!!

 

I dnk about the 2015, but I drove a 2003 A6 2.7T MT6 for 236k miles (chipped). Motor mounts were fine when I sold it. That sounds awfully costly but you are talking to a dealer. I would find a good indie shop and secure a second opinion.

Hi - my indie shop just told me that my mounts are going and I believe them - it's resulting in vibration at engine idle. They told me around $200-300 parts and $350-$450 labor. This is a '14 A6 Quattro with 60k miles.

My dealer noted a leaky engine mount on my 2019 A6 3.0 41,800 miles., they quoted approx $700
