Its been back to the dealer 4 times since I bought it in mid december. Cam seal leak which is still not fixed. They have put on 2 cover seals and put on about 4 tubes of liquid gasket but I still get the hot oil smell and smoke still rises from the right side manifold. Brought it in today and told the manager I dont want it back until its completely fixed.
Latest problem, while in a 15 min trafficjam over the weekend, I noticed the 12v fan came on and stayed on continuously. Outside temp was about 5degC. When it came time to accelerate away, the engine wouldnt rev over 3000 rpm. shuddering & jerking. Once the temp cooled down again, it was fine. Gave this prob to the dealer today and let him to deal with it hopefully. Any ideas what it might be?
BTW, the average temp while driving is about 70degC, in traffic, it rises to 90degC and the 12v fan comes on and thats where the prob seems to happen..... I was able to repeat the same scenario today just running my car in the drive until temp up to 90C and tried to drive above 3000 rpm. No go.

I know I bought this 2.4 for a song and should expect some problems but it is annoying when you give a car in to a mechanic to fix, it has to go back time and time again to be resolved.

Aint warranty great though?

 

Check state laws, i think if you bring your car 4x in month, you can demand your money back. Thats how it is in NY.
