A6 quattro ABS sensor problem
Hello,
I just bought a 1998 A6 quattro, the previous owner said he hit a bump at 70mph and it took out the abs sensor so now the abs doesnt kick in and the light is on in the dash. When I turn I get a clicking in the wheel area, the previous owner said it was the right control arm, but I have a freind who looked and said we just need a boot kit.
Any advice would be great.
Also if my airbag light is blinking what does that mean, and does anyone have a repair manual they want to sell?

Don't just do the boot- if it is clicking you need a CV joint. Just replace the whole axle with a rebuilt one. The work is less and the cost is only slightly higher. You get a new inner boot. etc.
I suspect that the ABS problem is a sensor. If the CV joint is bad enough it could mess up the ABS.
Air bag light -- Air bags can be tricky - have a qualified person look at it.
