A6 Rattle in back passenger side

Hi,

My A6 has a very annoying rattle in the back passenger side. I have been trying to get it sorted now for over a year.

The only time the rattle cannot be heard is when I am on a motorway. When driving on any other road that has even a slightly uneven surface the rattle is there.

Over the last year, I have had the back shocks on both sides replaced. The drop links and control arms have been replaced in the back. Also the holders for the calipers have been replaced in the back. There is nothing loose in the boot as I have taken everything out. So I am running out of ideas.

The car itself is 2007 and has over 300,000 KM's.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks in advance

I seem to remember reading something a while back about a fuel filter making an odd sound on someones car, either loose in its holding or broken internals rattling....
