A6 sensor problems

A6 sensor problems
A6, 3.0, 2003, CVT, 126k miles
PRND started flashing a while back but the car was driving just fine. The dealership quoted me $7k for complete TCM replacement. I ran for my life.
Gave my car to an independent transmission specialist and he came back to me saying I have faults with the following sensor:
1. Air flow sensor
2. Output speed sensor
3. Speed sensor
4. T-gear ring sensor
Firstly, I have no clue what these sensors are. Tried googling. Got some hits but no idea about the T-Gear Ring sensor. Can anyone pls help?
Secondly, any suggestions on the diagnosis? Should I just go ahead with replacements of these sensors? What should be my next line of action?
Please advice. Need some desperately.

Unfortunately you have the CVT. The CVT has all sorts of "issues". Sounds like yours is in its death throes. What did the independent shop quote you for the repairs? Either way its going to cost you a boatload to fix. Might be time to go shopping for a new car.
Sorry I couldn't give you better news.

I guess you're right. But I will need to fix the tranny in order to sell it off. Not sure if someone would buy an A6 with a busted transmission.
Guess only option is to proceed with the repairs and see where it goes.
The independent transmission specialist quoted me around $2k for repairs.
