Audi doesn't have a recommended Trans. fluid time or mileage. Many on the forum do it at 100K mi. Need to use VW fluid. Temperature of the fluid must be monitored to correctly refill. PITA

All I can tell you is to get it done. I didn't, even though I knew better, and it cost me a transmission. Obviously Audi likes to sell new cars. A good tranny shop can handle the special fluid, temp and level requirements.

You can do the transmission fluid change yourself if you have the fitting for the filler plug in the tranny. Be sure and follow the service instructions (i.e. engine running and transmission temperature monitored with the VAG unit). Ideally you need access to a vehicle hoist (I have to use a pit and it is a nuisance having to climb in and out!).
