Hey guys, I have a '00 A6 2.7T. Tonight coming back from the store my ABS and brake light came on out of the blue. Just wondering what this is usually caused from and if its something I can fix myself. My CEL didn't come on and I didn't have any codes checked out because it was 10 at night.

 

There are numerous posts about this. In simplest case, your brake switch is bad. Try that first and see what happens.

 

could also be a bad abs module and yes this question has been asked over 100 times so it isn't so uncommon

 

Yeah, I tried searching for answers last night before I posted and the search function kept telling me that there was nothing. It could have been down for all I know. I'll give it a try again.
