ABS Control Module

RE: ABS Control Module
The VAG-COM not recognizing it is a symptom of a bad module. What other symptoms do you have? BRAKE light and associated beeps at start-up? ABS light on steady?
Check out WWW.ModuleMaster.com. Once you confirm it's the module, they can rebuild it for you for ~$250.

RE: ABS Control Module
I shorted out the ABS module when I was trying to re-wire my foglights. I'm sharing this because the members of the forum cannot abuse me any more than my lovely forgiving spouse did. An OEM unit is $900 but I found a place in Idaho (Module Master)that purports to rebuild it for $200. The unit is on it's way and I'll try to remember to post whether this effort is successful.

RE: ABS Control Module
Beeps at Startup, ABS light in brack light flashing, and this is the wierd one- Tach stops working, and the A/C compressor doesn't work.
When the ABS module is unplugged, Tach comes back as well as the A/C. I understand that the tach and abs are all part of the Can-Bus system, but I havent found a mechanic yet that has heard of this happening before. Does anyone have a pinout so I could check for shorted wires??? I don't want to spend $200 if it doesnt fix he problem. BTW, thanks for the information posted!!
