ABS/ ESP lights on after clutch and CV boots
Hey guys,
I just did the clutch and both front CV boots in my wife's 2001 2.7L 6-speed (105K mi), and the ABS/ ESP lights are stuck on.
I did some reading on this forum, and checked the brake light switch; that's not it. I'm thinking I may have screwed up a wheel speed sensor, or maybe one of the front impulse wheels?
Has anyone had similar problems?
Thanks.
BTW: NH USA, you were right about the clutch. It hardly had any wear on it after 105K mi., but one of the deflection springs had broken off of the pressure plate. I replaced the slave 'cause it was right there, but left the master alone. The new clutch works awesome.
Wow, what a lot of work, tho.

It's throwing code P0150: O2 sensor, bank 2 sensor 1.
Can this cause the abs and esp lights to go on? It only throws that code after the abs/ esp lights come on.
The lights don't come on until after the car moves, not when it starts.....?????

yeah...that one was the last one reconnected and the easiest to trace. All fine. That sensor was not disconnected from the exhaust pipe, either, as were the post-cat sensors.
I've read that swapping out the connections at the firewall to see if the code follows the sensor is a good way to diagnose the problem. Agree?
I don't know much about the VAG-COM system, but I'm looking into it. Any thoughts on that? Will it give me more information than just the OBDII code?
Should I douche the connector at the firewall with contact cleaner?
